SOURCE TRAIL

Sources and methodology

This page lists official public repositories for checking a citation and explains a practical verification process. The presence of a source does not guarantee an explanation is complete or current.

OFFICIAL LEGISLATION

Check the legal text on Legalinfo.mn.

Use the official page to confirm status, amendments, and the date a provision applies.

Legal information system

The official publication database for Mongolian legislation. Recheck the document status on the source page.

Labour Law

A concrete example of resolving a citation to its primary text. For a filing deadline, verify the current wording of article 154.2.1.

English explanations are for orientation; verify against the official Mongolian text.

PUBLISHED COURT DECISIONS

Check published decisions on Shuukh.mn.

Match the court, decision number, date, and case index on the official page before relying on a reference.

Court decision database

The Judicial General Council’s public decision repository. Read the decision and any related-instance records on the source site.

CHECK BY TOPIC

Start with the official sources for each topic.

These links are verification starting points, not an exhaustive list of applicable law. Other rules may apply to the facts of a particular matter.

Labour

Check employment relations, contracts, pay, termination, and dispute deadlines against the current Labour Law.

Family

Start with the Family Law for marriage, divorce, children, and the rights of family members.

Loans

Start with the Civil Code for loan agreements, repayment, interest, and general obligations.

Additional banking, non-bank finance, or consumer-credit rules may apply.

Contracts

Check the Civil Code’s general and contract-specific rules on formation, interpretation, performance, and breach.

Inheritance

Check the Civil Code for succession by law or will and the rules on accepting an inheritance.

Consumer rights

Check the official law for consumer rights and seller or service-provider duties concerning goods, work, and services.

VERIFY A CITATION

Trace an explanation back to the source.

An AI explanation does not replace verification. Check the source and seek professional advice before making a decision affecting rights, deadlines, or money.

1. Identify the document

Match the title, article or decision number, date, and issuing body.

2. Check current status

Confirm whether it is in force, amended, effective, or connected to another decision.

3. Read the context

Read surrounding provisions and the court’s reasoning, not only one extracted sentence.

4. Consult a lawyer when needed

This service provides legal information, not advice tailored to your circumstances.

CORRECTIONS

Report an error; material corrections are logged publicly.

Send the page URL, the exact sentence or citation, and a link to the official source you believe controls. We will compare the claim with that source and update both the page and this log when a material correction is needed.

— Corrected the illustrative demo so the 30-day dismissal-challenge period points to Labour Law article 154.2.1, and removed an unverified court-decision number.
